FancyFon™ Wins Global Telecoms Business 2009 Innovation Award

Wednesday 17 June 2009 – Cork, Ireland – FancyFon™, a pioneer in unlocking the capabilities of next generation mobile communications, today announced that it has won the Global Telecoms Business 2009 Award for Business Service Innovation  in device management.

Global Telecoms Business (GTB) magazine, which is read by industry leaders in the telecommunications industry worldwide, launched the Innovation Awards in 2007. Award winners are selected by a judging panel, from hundreds of nominations for the industry’s most innovative projects.

FancyFon was presented with the GTB Wireless Network Infrastructure Innovation Award for the cutting edge mobile device lifecycle management project that it undertook at a major high street bank. FancyFon Mobility Center (FAMOC™) is a centralized mobile device lifecycle management platform that enables customers to control multi-platform mobile devices in realtime, over the air. The bank selected FAMOC when Nokia Intellisync withdrew from the market, and experienced a host of benefits, including:

  • Rapid and efficient roll out across all systems
  • Radical reduction in administrative complexity and support costs
  • Improved business productivity and increased employee efficiency
  • Seamless roll out of new and improved services, over the air

Dietmar Fuchs, COO, FancyFon, commented; “As more and more organisations look towards mobile device lifecycle management as a way to improve business productivity and reduce operating costs, we are absolutely delighted that GTB has recognised FancyFon as a leader in this field.”

Alan Burkitt-Gray, Editor, GTB added; “This project stood out, even though the competition was strong, and it just had to be one of the winners. Well done to all involved.”
