Company: Leading High Street Bank Industry: Finance Challenge: When, in September 2008, Nokia announced the cancellation of their Intellisync Mobile Device Management solution, a leading high street bank - a Nokia customer - issued a RFI for an alternative Mobile Device Management solution. The bank required a solution:
- To cover disparate platforms within one system - Symbian S60, Symbian UIQ, Windows Mobile and RIM BlackBerry
- With high scalability - Scaling from 950 devices to 3000 devices within 12 months
- High security features on the server and handsets
Solution: The bank selected FancyFon's leading Mobile Device Management solution in October 2008. Demonstrating unparalleled efficiency, FancyFon ensured that all systems were installed by the end of October. At the beginning of November 2008, the bank began the processes of migrating the 950 handsets (S60, UIQ and Windows Mobile) to FancyFon's Mobile Device Management solution.
Benefits: The bank experienced a radical reduction in the cost of servicing easy mail for exchange configuration over the air: the end user is only required to enter a password to use email via the device handset. FancyFon also enabled simple remote support for the administrator, who is able to take full control of the end user handset (screen and keyboard or touch screen), to repair or change configuration.
