FancyFon Unveils Day-1 Support for Apple iOS 5
Wednesday October 12th, 2011 –Cork, Ireland – FancyFon™, a pioneer in mobile device management solutions that enable organizations securely control multiple smartphone and tablet devices over the air from a single point of control, today announced day-1 support for Apple iOS 5.
Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 5, is due to be launched today, and according to Apple, adds over 200 new features to the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, taking a mobile operating system that was already years ahead of anything else and moving it even further ahead.
FancyFon’s core product, FancyFon Mobility Center (FAMOC), is the market leading and award winning mobile device lifecycle management platform that enables customers to centrally manage their fleet of smartphone and tablet devices - based on multiple mobile platforms - in real time, over the air. The ability to integrate the management of iOS 5 into the existing mobile device lifecycle management solution is significant for two key reasons. Firstly, FAMOC has enhanced iOS application management, which means that it supports the installation, reporting, and removal of any of the advanced applications that become available with iOS 5. Secondly, FAMOC allows additional configurations to be carried out on iOS 5, such as enabling or disabling iCloud, to ensure a superior level of security for corporate data and applications.
