FancyFon Appoints Vigil Software as Sole UK Distributor
Specialist security distributor to build channel for leading provider of mobile device management (MDM) solutions
Cork, Ireland – 9th January 2012 – FancyFon™, a pioneer in MDM solutions that enable organizations to securely control multiple smartphone and tablet devices over the air from a single point of control, today announced it has appointed Vigil Software, the specialist IT Security Distributor, as its sole UK distributor.
FancyFon and Vigil have signed an agreement for the next three years, for Vigil to establish FancyFon’s presence in the UK market. Vigil will focus on recruiting new partners to create opportunities and a sales pipeline in the UK, and replicate the commercial success the company has seen elsewhere in Europe, where it already has a strong market presence.
The market has seen an explosion in the use of mobile devices and Bring Your Own Device (BOYD) raising a number of security concerns and issues around this. As a result of a growing number of enquiries at vendor and end user levels in the UK, FancyFon chose to appoint Vigil as its exclusive value-add distributor. FancyFon’s technology manages all mobile operating systems in the market today, as part of a service or as an in-house management tool. Specific functions include phone tracking, remote wipe, application control, backing up devices over the air and troubleshooting. In order to drive effective sales and maximise potential within the channel around this market driver, Vigil will provide deal registration, a comprehensive partner programme and marketing initiatives that will enable FancyFon to work closely with resellers and maintain high margin retention on all deals.
